QLS has a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Membership Engagement Lead to join their Membership & Growth team. The Membership & Growth team leads the design and delivery of Queensland Law Society’s membership value proposition, growth strategy and engagement approach. They support members through high‑quality services, experiences and insights that strengthen the profession and enhance long‑term member value.
This role leads membership engagement, retention and service delivery, ensuring members receive value and a high‑quality experience across the entire membership lifecycle.
In this role you will:
- Lead and implement QLS’ membership engagement strategy to enhance member value and experience.
- Oversee member onboarding, retention and engagement programs to ensure a seamless, high‑quality lifecycle experience.
- Manage day‑to‑day member service operations, including general enquiries and service escalations.
- Drive CRM optimisation, data integrity and digital‑first membership processes.
- Analyse membership data to identify trends, insights and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support coordination of QLS committees and priority member segments (District Law Associations, Future Leaders, students, in‑house counsel and government lawyers).
- Champion continuous improvement across membership processes and service delivery.
- Represent member needs and insights internally to inform organisational strategy and decisions.
Ideally you will have the following:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in membership or relationship management, ideally in a membership‑based or professional services environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- High‑level organisational, prioritisation and project management skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including supporting out‑of‑hours events and occasional regional travel.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or a related discipline.
- A proactive, detail‑focused and collaborative working style with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Experience in a membership organisation or the legal industry (highly desirable).
- Strong experience with CRM systems and membership databases (Microsoft Dynamics highly desirable).
