QLS has a 12-month, full-time opportunity for an Events Team Lead to join their Member Experience & Events team. The Member Experience & Events team designs and delivers QLS member events and experiences that strengthen engagement, support professional learning and promote meaningful industry conversations across the legal profession.
The Event Team Lead oversees the events function, leading a small team to deliver a high-quality annual events program aligned with strategic objectives.
In this role you will:
- Lead, mentor and support the Events team to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
- Plan, manage and deliver the annual events calendar, including large-scale complex events.
- Manage event budgets, revenue targets, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Oversee logistics, presenters, suppliers, sponsors and internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement, identify risks/opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
Ideally you will have the following:
- Qualifications in event management, business or marketing, with 7+ years of corporate event experience.
- Experience leading a team and delivering in‑person, hybrid and online events.
- Strong communication, customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High competency with Microsoft 365 and Event/CRM systems (EventsAir and Dynamics 365 highly desirable).
- Proven ability to manage budgets, meet deadlines, and deliver consistently high‑quality work.
